His career started in 1994 when he received with honors the title of doctor of medicine at the University of Panama..
Internship Year
He then continued with his years of internship at the Metropolitan Complex C.S.S. and in the Regional Hospital of Bocas del Toro, and then his residency in Urology at the Metropolitan Complex C.S.S., Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid. Once he completed his residency in Panama, he makes a subspecialty in Laparoscopy, Endourology and Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery at the Department of Urology at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Perfecting Laparoscopy
He then made an improvement in Advanced Urological Laparoscopy in Santa Maria Clinic in Santiago de Chile.
Publications
Author of advertisements in urological and presentation of papers in national and international issues Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery congresses magazines.
Dr. Ureña in some publications talks about diseases affecting the prostate, including cancer and options to work it in a minimally invasive manner, a technique that he believes, as it is surgery where there is less loss blood, has less postoperative pain, the incisions are much smaller and recovery is faster.
